Some of you have reported hunting down my bean recipes. Well here are some of my faves, all gathered in one place! Just click on the image to get to the recipe.

Home-made refried beans! (Vegan, but you’d never know)

Five Minute Black beans – I KID YOU NOT – FIVE MINUTE PREP

Garbanzos con chorizo (chick peas and hot dry Spanish sausage)

Frankenbeanie! – Hot dogs, beans, and rice – criollo-style

Arroz con habichuelas – Classic Rice and Pink Beans

Classic Black Beans – frijoles negros

Arroz con habichuelas (with calabaza history and squash alternatives)

Easy red beans to accompany Mexican-style shredded chicken

Latin-style lasagne. This is a bit of a cheat, as it is another way to use Five-Minute Black Beans (not really a separate bean recipe!)

Criollo/Creole Black Bean Soup (Sopa de Frijoles Negros)

Excellent post, Chica. I just reblogged it. You saved me a job!
Thanks for the reblog! Happy to oblige!
Reblogged this on Jayne McAllister and commented:
I’m borrowing my friend Natalia’s blog post because I love beans and it’s fabulous how she has grouped all her recipes together. Check out my Hot, Cheap & Easy friend.
Thanks so much for the reblog. I love what you do so it is an honor to be mutually appreciated!
I think I’ve seen most of these before, but I do love pulses, though not for their gaseous properties 😉
I got Leandro to be a bean lover precisely by emphasizing their gaseous properties!
ROFL, somehow that doesn’t surprise me 🙂
WIth all these bean recipes, Leandro will have to conduct a survey on the cultural pratcices around expelling gas! For Easter in my Canadian home we always serve baked (navy) beans alongside our ham. My brother who made the pot of beans this year, claimed they would be gas-free. He claimed the odiferous results were a result of the cabbage salad NOT his baked beans!
You are too funny! Leandro very much appreciated this comment!
Lovely and healthy.
Thanks so much Chef Connie!
